This is the only store I will buy my fresh fruits and veggies now...I mean it's so fresh it last for weeks in the fridge...other stores it goes bad within a week if u don't use it...got some apples and ong they're so good, sweet, and juicy I'm eating one now for dinner lol...hmart is lowkey becoming my favorite grocery store!

I have never been to an H mart and have seen You-tubers glorifying this Asian supermarket on TV. So asked my friend to drive me over to the nearest one. Huge supermarket and plenty of parking but since it was the holidays, parking was packed. As soon as we entered the shop, my eyes just rolled over. So many items to choose from which I have only seen on tv. There was a wide variety of fruits mostly boxed which I have never seen in regular groceries. Huge apples, pink pineapples, muscat grapes, asian pears etc. Kimchi of course, different kimbap flavors to choose from as well as rice balls, rice cakes, drinks in pouches some with strange flavors. I could roam the aisles of this Hmart the whole day and will not be bored. Oh and Korean candies with real fruit juices and strange flavors as well like scorched rice. I can not wait for Hmart to open there store here in Vegas.

Although I have eaten and shopped a few times primarily at the H-Mart in Torrance it is such a treat to attend H-Mart Lakewood location today. The bustle, the smells, the orderly-ness in proper Korean custom was made even more good by the values of the three items we got: kimchi, fried anchovy, and fresh fresh sushi mixed plate with tuna, salmon, and halibut. There was a lady handing out tasty cups of sirloin. !!! Hamsamnida. At Torrance we are fond of tofu soups at Hansol kiosk, Tous Les Jours wonderful baked goods and teas and coffees like here at Lakewood, a bb.q for Korean chicken kiosk and Paik's Noodle kiosk for black bean noodles. The Lakewood location is pretty epic, too!!! Ambiance of tres cool and the excitement today of the first day of Advent, whence lots of Christmas parades are happening, Los Angeles celebrations of La Virgen de Guadalupe are happening too, and at H-Mart Lakewood parking lot today was a Native American pow wow for peace. Very good energy. The kimchi was perfect spicy and vinegary sweet not veggie bitter. The anchovy was perfect crispy not too salty although we got the wrong one for stepmom so next time we will correctly get the hot sweet red kind. The sashimi felt to be the very definition of fresh and melty buttery on taste buds. H for Hurray!

The produce! Y'all, if you're looking for great quality produce then this market is a solid choice. We walked in on a weeknight and it was pretty busy. I was sad I wasn't able to shop at the little stores as they were closed, but Asian markets are one of my favorite markets. If you didn't know, ready made meals are deeply discounted towards closing so I got a massive meal for only $6. I wished I lived closer cause I'd probably stop by on my way home. Although I didn't have a shopping list with me, there's a great variety of Korean and Japanese ingredients. I want to get more in touch with both my cultures through food so it's nice knowing I have so many options near me.

This Asian centric grocery chain is my preferred location for a wider variety of foods. The fruit is often lower priced than the other grocery stores but caveat: also more likely to spoil quicker. Not sure why other than the refrigeration on site isn't the same as your home refrigerator. Great for quick trips but tends to be very busy especially on the weekends. I try not to ever buy more than one each or a small pre packaged container because food waste is a real bummer. Clean and wide aisles, quiet clientele too - maybe the kids are better behaved? I seriously have no recollection of crying tantrums by toddlers or kids here. Cashiers are efficient and most are multi lingual- amazing to realize this

9/3/23 I didn't know that's how wasabi looks like and its natural state. 8/24/24 I didn't know my review was in the back burner for Hmart... If I recall correctly this place is very organized & clean looking I appreciate this very much. Customer service is almost nonexistent but they're not rude so that's a plus. Their produce looks fresh & the meat dept is exceptionally neat & arrangement is aesthetically pleasing. Overall it's a wonderful supermarket for all your Asian groceries, lots of varieties. Prices are reasonable especially considering the quality of their products Love their Korean bbq selection

I always know that I can get a kimbap and it will be the best. They have it down to a system. And there is this great shine on the outside from the sesame oil, muah! Beautiful touch
